SPATIAL ANALYSIS
Before doing analysis, I have to understand the landuse background of Vancouver Island. This helps me to find out which area is mature forest.
Variety of landuse in Vancouver Island:

Here is the area with mature forest:

Plenty of areas are mature forest and they are suitable for building campsites.
Steps to find out which campsites meet the requirement for Part 1:
To start planning a over night camping trip, designated campsite is very important. We have to examine all over night campsites location in Vancouver Island.

There are many over night campsites throughout the Island. Next, I have to find a site that is close to fish lake.

Safety is another main concern, far away from endanger animals is in the top priority in terms of safety.

Where are the deer & elk range?

Where are the hunting areas?

Slope Elevation in Moderate Level:
This is the digital elevation model of Vancouver Island. The legend shows the elevation of the entire island.

These are the areas with moderate elevation.

This image shows the campsites that meet the Part 1 requirements.

Steps to find out which campsites meet the requirement for Part 2:
In part 2, we have to find out the accessibility for those five campsites we found in part 1. Campsites located close to the major highway are easy to access and they are most preferred.

Campsites within 150m around Highway:

Steps to find out which campsites meet the requirement for Part 3:
